Drugs seized in Manipur

Illegal drugs were seized by a combined team of Assam Rifles and state police commandos in the jungles of Tengnoupal district of Manipur, police said today.
Five individuals, including a juvenile and two woman, were arrested in connection with the recovery of drugs last night.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the illegal drugs, which is valued at Rs 3.39 crore, were taken to Churachandpur district, said a senior police officer.
The recovered drugs included brown sugar (127 grams) and heroin Grade-1 (509 grams).
Police also recovered foreign currencies from them.
