Dry dates weakens on low demand

Barring a fall in dry dates prices on low demand, other dry fruits ruled steady at the wholesale dry fruits market today in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Traders said fall in demand from retailers against higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on dry dates prices.
In the national capital, dry dates (red) declined by Rs 100 to Rs 4,400-12,400 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 22,700, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,200-8,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,200-6,300; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-25,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 788-808 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 650-740 per kg.
