Dry fruits remain steady in thin trade

Barring fall in prices of dry dates due to lack of demand, other dry fruits remained steady at the wholesale market today on scattered support.
Traders said besides lack of demand, adequate stock position led to the fall in prices of dry dates.
In the national capital, dry dates (red) declined by Rs 100 to Rs 5,400-11,900 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 18,200 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 635-655 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
