Dry weather in most parts of UP, rains likely on Thursday

Weather remained dry in most parts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday but thundershowers are expected at few places over the next three days, the Met office said.

Lucknow witnessed a clear sky on Wednesday and recorded a maximum temperature of 35.5 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department said very light rainfall occurred in Jhansi, while Meerut recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 37.3 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal mark.

The weatherman has forecast rain or thunder showers at few places over the state on Thursday and Friday and at several places on Saturday.
