Dry weather prevails over UP

Weather remained mainly dry in Uttar Pradesh as bright sunshine greeted the people in the afternoon at many places including the state capital Lucknow.
Lowest minimum temperature in the state was 5.5 degrees Celsius recorded at Nazibabad, according to MeT department.
Night temperature fell appreciably in Meerut division, Moradabad division and changed little in the remaining divisions of the state, a MeT department official said.
Temperatures were markedly above normal in Jhansi division; appreciably above normal in Varanasi, Allahabad, Bareilly, Agra divisions; above normal in Lucknow division and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
The weather department has predicted rain and thundershowers at isolated places in the state.
