DSK Motowheels to roll out 6 Italian superbike Bannelli models

DSK Motowheels, a part of the city- based DSK Group, and Italian superbikes maker Bennelli today unveiled five high-end bikes which will be rolled out in the country by the year-end.
DSK will assemble and sell the Italian auto major's brands here through exclusive dealership, DSK Motowheels chairman Shirish Kulkarni announced here.
This is DSK Motowheels' second tie-up with a superbike maker, after a collaboration with the Korean firm Hyosung.
"Benelli...Is the oldest Italian Motorcycle brand....We are confident we will revolutionise the domestic superbike market," Kulkarni said.
Benelli director Frank Zhuang said his company will first launch five superbikes beginning December-- one 300-cc model, two 600-cc models, one 899-cc and one 1,130-cc models will be rolled out by this year end and the rest will follow later.
Benelli began operations in 1911, making it the oldest Italian motorcycle company. The firm's colourful journey began as the 'Benelli Garage' in 1911, where the six Benelli brothers, Giuseppe, Giovanni, Francesco, Filippo, Domenico and Antonio, worked together.

The domestic two wheeler market, the second largest in the world, is growing at 10-12 per cent per annum and is set to achieve 21-23 million units by FY'16.
DSK alreadsy sells Italian-flavored bikes the Tornado Naked Tre, or TNT Superbikes that include the in-line, two cylinder TNT 302, the in-line, four-cylinder 600cc TNT 600 i as well as TNT 600 GT, the 898cc, in-line, three-cylinder TNT899 and 1131cc, also in-line, three-cylinder engine powered TNT1130R, a 155 bhp plus superbike.
Kulkarni said he plans to open around 20 DSK-Benelli exclusive dealerships in 20 cities over the next 6-8 months and the first dealerships will come up in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai and Kolkata in the next three-four months.
The over Rs-5,000 crore DSK group set up DSK Motowheels in 2012 and has a CKD plant in Pune.
