The voting at Delhi University began at 8.30 am and went on till 12.30 pm. The evening college students will be casting their vote from 3 pm to 7 pm, said DU Chief Election Officer Ashok Vohra.
"The elections went smoothly with no untoward incident reported. There was a minor glitches with EVM machines at Khalsa
college but it was immediately corrected," Vohra said.
Students are casting their vote through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in DU and its counting will take place tomorrow.

National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and All India Students Association (AISA) are among the student outfits running in the elections.
Meanwhile in JNU, polling began at 9.30 am and will go on till 6 pm.
"Since the polling in JNU is being conducted with ballot papers, the results will be declared on Monday after the counting of votes, which will begin in the evening," campaign coordinator for AISA, Piyush Raj said.
Students Federation of India (SFI) and All India Students Association (AISA) are major players but the National Students Union of India (NSUI) and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have also fielded candidates for the election.
