A 33-year-old professional fitness coach here has set a Guinness World record for most bungee jumps in 24 hours, by taking the plunge a nerve-shattering 151 times.
Colin Phillips, originally from the UK, broke the world record for most bungee jumps in 24 hours by diving 151 times during an event at Dubai Autodrome.
Phillips spent ten months preparing for the attempt, doing numerous consecutive jumps every weekend in the build-up to the event.
Kicking off the attempt from a 100ft high crane Phillips edged past the previous record of 105 jumps set by Kevin Scott Huntly in South Africa in 2011, Guinness said in a statement.
The attempt, which was organised in support of charity Breast Cancer Arabia, was operated by Gravity Zone, a bungee site in the United Arab Emirates which operates in partnership with the UK Bungee club.
For the event, extra professional man power from the UK Bungee Club was brought in as well as multiple crane drivers and a sports therapist, ensuring safety was a top priority.

Despite the preparations, the attempt did not get off to the best of starts, with Phillips smashing into a tree on his second jump.
He later dislocated his little finger on his left hand after getting caught in his harness during one plunge, which was clicked back into place by the on-hand medical team, allowing Phillips to continue.
Despite planning to complete 200 jumps, Phillips stopped on the 151st jump after the various aches and pains he had sustained during the attempt took their toll.
"The jumps were aggressive on the body, depending on the wind and the way harness was attached," Phillips said.
Describing the attempt as "the greatest physical challenge of his life" Phillips said he was now turning his attention to a bungee record attempt involving the Burj Khalifa - the world's tallest building.
"I have Burj Khalifa in my thoughts. Thoughts are playing in my head, but let's see what happens," he said.
