Dubai World Cup to be broadcast on Discovery's DSPORT channel

The Dubai World Cup - one of the biggest horse racing events in the world - will be broadcast live for the first time ever on Discovery's DSPORT channel on Friday.
The Dubai World Cup, a thoroughbred horse race held annually since 1996 and contested at the Meydan Racecourse, is considered to be the best and the biggest racing event in the world.
Annually held on the last Saturday in March, the Dubai World Cup is part of the Dubai World Cup Night of races that carries a purse of USD 30 million for the day's races and a whopping USD 10 million prize for the Dubai World Cup Race.
The best horses from 13 countries will be competing in the tournament and the highlight of the race will be the Bob Baffert trained Arrogate (American). The rest of the American contingent for the Dubai World Cup includes Gun Runner, Keen Ice, and Neolithic.
Japan has sent over a quartet comprising Awardee, Apollo Kentucky, Gold Dream and fan-favorite Lani for the headlinine event.
