Deepak (27) and Sujeet (26) were arrested after the manager of Bharati AXA Life Insurance filed a complaint that the duo has been cheating customers on the pretext of collecting premium money by posing as agents.
"The duo was arrested after one of the victims identified them from the CCTV footage installed in his house. The victim also noted down the registration number of the motorcycle they were using," Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central District, Alok Kumar said.
According to him, Sujeet along with a person named Anshul committed the crime after they got hold of a list of customers who were about to pay premiums. The duo used to call them up saying that they would collect the premium amount from their houses.
