"The election office has issued memos to four parties for violation of model code of conduct," Chief Election Commissioner for DUSU polls D S Rawat said.
The parties are Congress-affiliated National Students Union of India (NSUI), BJP's Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Aam Aadmi Party's Chatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), and India National Students Organisation (INSO), an independent body.
"The major violations included use of printed material for campaigning and usage of names of political parties in it," Rawat said.
Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections are scheduled for September 11 and the counting of votes will be held a day later.
