The company's net profit for the third quarter of FY16 stood at Rs 2.84 crore.
Total income of the company during the quarter grew by 5 per cent at Rs 220.55 crore compared to Rs 210.15 crore in the same period of last year, a company release said.
"Early start of crushing season, increased sugar production level and improved price of sugar helped the company to achieve these numbers. We are focused on following the loftiest parameters of efficiency and achieving the best recoveries," said Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Whole Time Director and Chief Financial Officer Vijay S Banka.
Sugarcane crushing during December 2016 quarter was 92.23 lakh quintals compared to 60.01 lakh quintals in the same quarter previous year.
