Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson has saved his new French bulldogs, Brutus and Hobbs from drowning in the swimming pool.
The 43-year-old actor's pets decided to cool off with an impromptu swim over Labor Day weekend and that is when the unfortunate incident happened, reported E! online.
The "San Andreas" star posted an Instagram photo of himself holding up his two new puppies in the pool.
In the caption, Johnson explained that he gave both of the French bulldogs a chance to explore his yard after bringing them home for the first time, and both quickly ran into the pool.
"Hobbs immediately starts doggy-paddling, while Brutus (like a brick) sinks head-first to the bottom of the pool," Johnson wrote.
"I take off into a full sprint, fully clothed, dive in the pool, swim to the bottom, rescue my brick - I mean Brutus - and bring him back to the edge of the pool."
"He was a little delirious.. Took a moment, threw up all the water he swallowed and looked up at me as if to say, 'Thank God you didn't have to give me mouth to mouth!' and then ran off to play with his brother," the actor continued.
Johnson pointed out that he learned one more lesson from the close call: "While sprinting to save your puppy's life, before you dive in, try and throw your cell phone to safety. Don't keep it in your pocket... Like I did.
