Dy CM expresses grief over civilian killings in Pak firing

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today expressed grief over the killings of civilians in cross-border firing in Jammu region.
In a condolence message, he conveyed his sympathies to the members of the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Isma Begum (50) of Mendhar in Poonch and a young boy Ajay of Gigiryal in Chamb sector of Jammu, lost their lives in firing by Pakistani troops today.
Meanwhile, Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr Gurjeet Singh along with Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, Dr Robinder Khajuria visited border areas in Akhnoor sector to review health services being provided to the border residents in the wake of the firing from Pakistani side targeting civilian areas.
Gurjeet held a meeting with doctors, paramedics and staff of the hospitals of these areas and directed them to provide optimal level health services to those injured in the firing, a statement issued here said.
He also directed officers and other medical staff concerned to ensure availability of sufficient medical supplies in hospitals, it said.
