The anti-corruption bureau today arrested a deputy collector and two others in Parbhani district of Maharashtra for accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.
The accused had taken the bribe initially through a cheque.

Bodhvad sent a retired peon from collector's office, Hasnoddin Shamshoddin (60), to the complainant's residence to hand over the license document and collect a cheque for bribe, amount, the ACB said.
Later he asked the complainant to give cash in lieu of the cheque.
The complainant approached the ACB, which laid a trap at the district collector's office this morning and caught Bodhvad when he gave the cheque to Shaikh Israr Shaikh Usman (49), a senior clerk, who in turn took the cash from the complainant and returned the cheque.
ACB arrested all three -- Bodhvad, Hasnoddin and Shaikh Israr. Further probe is on.
