Aiming to sensitise people against gender based violence and exploitation, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has launched a campaign through staging plays on running buses.
The campaign named "Sun Raha Hai Na Tu..." also involves a publicity blitzkrieg through social media and plastering various localities with related posters.
"We are staging plays in DTC buses on different routes to sensitise people against eve teasing as quite a large number of such incidents take place in buses," DYFI President Pramod Singh said.
He added posters are being released to remove fear and feeling of insecurity among girls and women of the national capital and its adjoining areas.
The campaign will culminate on December 16, the second anniversary of the 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, at Jantar Mantar where a number of cultural organisations will stage songs, plays among other performances as a form of protest.
