Through this venture, Microsoft will provide a platform for customers to comply with the goods and services tax requirements and EasemyGST will integrate the products.
EasemyGST co-founder Ashish Mittal said that as per estimates, there are about 85 lakh micro and medium enterprises who need a helping hand as India's taxation system undergoes transformation.
Microsoft Office Marketing Director Alok B Lall said both the companies have come together to provide simple and affordable GST compliance.
Any business subscribing to the EasemyGST solutions will just have to maintain a spreadsheet of their purchases and sale and the same will be uploaded to the GSTNetwork automatically. The subscription will be in the range of Rs 3,000-5000 per registered entity per month.
The government is scheduled to roll out GST from July 1. GST subsumes 16 different taxes, including excise, service tax, VAT, and will transform India into a single market for seamless transfer of goods and services.
