East Central Railway celebrates 13th foundation day

Hailing the cleanliness campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Gandhi Jayanti, East Central Railway (ECR) Zone General Manager Madhuresh Kumar today said Railways could play a vital role in it.
"We shall realise the dream of clean railway," Kumar said while speaking at the 13th Foundation Day of the Hajipur- based ECR.
He said considering increase in technical works, the zone has enhanced its training capacity so that it would not have to depend on other zones.
He highlighted steps taken for railway employees including starting a portal "Arpan" to facilitate payment of pension through e-governance and quarters for staff in various divisions.

A documentary was presented on the journey of ECR in the last 12 years.
ECR came into existence on October 1, 2002.
Danapur, Mughalsarai, Dhanbad, Samastipur and Sonepur are the five divisions under ECR.
