"This innovation centre is a part of strategic program which is focused on enhancing our organisational capabilities by leveraging high-end engineering talent and best-in-class infrastructure," Eaton's Executive Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer Ram Ramakrishnan said.
Spread across 3.90 lakh sq ft, the facility will create a vertically integrated engineering organisation that will deliver complete product design life-cycle management solutions
for Eaton's global businesses, he said.
The incubation center of the innovation centre will be operational soon.

"We believe in helping our customers address their most critical power management challenges. We deliver technologies that help our customers across the globe manage power more efficiently, sustainably and safely in buildings, aircrafts, trucks, cars, machinery and businesses," Ramakrishnan said.
The company plans to hire around 2,000 people over the period for this facility.
"The centre is a reiteration of Eaton's continued and deep commitment to India and make the country a hub to serve the needs of the global market.
"India is not only an important growth market for the company, but also a uniquely strategic opportunity to create a distinct competitive edge," Eaton India Managing Director Nitin Chalke said.
