EC seizes three vehicles of BSP candidate for violating code

Election Commission officials in Begumganj town seized three vehicles, including two jeeps belonging to Mahendrapuri Goswami, a BSP candidate from Silvani assembly seat and registered a case against him.
Deputy Election Officer D K Singh seized the vehicles as they did not have requisite permission for electioneering.
A case for violation of the Model Code of Conduct was registered against Goswami.
However, Goswami said that he had the necessary permission, but failed to get it renewed today, which resulted in action being taken.
At the time of his vehicle's seizure, the BSP candidate was campaigning in a local market.
