Novita praised the initiative taken by FDCI and Jakarta Fashion Week to enable a cross-cultural exchange of talents in the fashion world.
Novita showcased her collection "Bhoomi-Langit", which was dominated by the prints of the Sun and leaves.
"I'm excited and very happy to come here as India also has a heritage of handwoven textiles so it's great to be here.
"We used eco-prints like leaves which we use in textile prints then natural dye was another main element for the show. We played with silk and a lot of indigo color. This is the new trend for sustainable fashion," Novita told PTI post show.

"We also represented Indonesian handwoven heritage. My concept depicts the sky and the earth. And the sky is represented by the symbol of the Sun, which mean glory and wisdom. I represented earth with the eco-prints."
When asked if she is eyeing to collaborate with any Indian designers, Novita said, "Hopefully I'll have a lot of collaboration with Indian designers. Last year, Ekta and Amrish also presented their collection at the Jakarta Fashion Week. They did really well over there. So, I am looking forward to do something with them as well."
Some of them even carried matching bags with the dresses and completed their looks with high wedges and ponytail.
