ED files charge sheet against 11 accused in drug racket case

The Enforcement Directorate today filed a charge sheet in the multi-crore drug racket case in Punjab against eleven persons, in a special court here.
ED, which is probing the money laundering angle in the Rs 6,000-crore drug racket case, filed charge sheet in the Special Court of Justice H S Madan.
The charge sheet was filed against the accused including Balshinder Singh, Baltej Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Dalip Singh Mann, Amarjit Kaur, Gurmit Kaur, among others.
All the accused are relatives of dismissed Punjab police cop Jagdish Bhola and Daljit Bittu, who are the main accused in the drug racket case which was busted by Punjab police in 2013.
ED had already filed charge sheet against 13 other accused including alleged kingpin and Arjuna awardee wrestler Jagdish Bhola.
The Court also issued production warrants for Jagdish Bhola for August 1.
Bhola is currently lodged in Mumbai jail in a separate case registered against him under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
