Ed Sheeran's terminally ill fan dies

A terminally ill fan of singer Ed Sheeran has passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Katie Papworth was 19. She had met the singer last week at a concert, reported Aceshowbiz.
Sheeran, 23, took to offer condolences. "So devastated to hear Katie has passed away. Prayers are with her family," he wrote.
The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation which arranged Papworth's meeting with Sheeran shared the sad news on their Facebook page.
"We have had some sad news this morning Katie Papworth has peacefully passed away in her parents arms. All our thoughts and prayers are with Katie's family at this Sad Time," the statement read.

Papworth met the 'I See Fire' star backstage of his concert at Glasgow's SSE Hydro on October 30 and proposed to him. She also gave him a picture she drew before she lost her sight. "Katie, lovely to finally meet my wife," the singer signed the copy.
