EdgeMakers to empower 10,000 students across four cities

San Francisco-headquartered EdgeMakers, that develops comprehensive learning solutions, will provide its system to over 10,000 students across Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru by 2017-18.
The EdgeMakers learning system is designed to empower students with tools and skills critical to become innovators and entrepreneurs, it said.
"Over the next twenty years, advancement in artificial intelligence will lead to machines taking over most of the jobs that people do today. To create impact in this technology led world, students need additional skill sets and capacities that are not covered in the existing school curriculum," EdgeMakers Inc Country Head India Ramit Bhatnagar said.
EdgeMakers has operations in four countries -- US, Brazil, Colombia and India.

ICCL renews counterparty default insurance for USD 60 mn * Indian Clearing Corporation (ICCL) has renewed its counterparty default insurance cover for USD 60 million (about Rs 402 crore).

Now in its fourth year, the policy is aimed at protecting ICCL against counterparty defaults, and adding a further capital cushion to its networth, making the resources of the non-defaulting members even safer, BSE said in a statement.
ICCL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BSE, seeks to maintain sufficient financial resources to finance growth and ensure financial flexibility while maintaining its creditworthiness and liquidity.
The policy further boosts the ability of ICCL to absorb losses before any resources of the non-defaulting members are put at risk.
ICCL is a qualified central counterparty that carries out the functions of clearing, settlement, collateral management and risk management for various segments of BSE.
