Edible and non-edible oils surges on seasonal demand

Groundnut oil prices strengthened further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to firm demand from stockist and retailers amidst forthcoming festivities.
Refined palmolein prices recovered on renewed offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial surged on sustained demand from shippers and soap industries.
While, linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 960 from Friday's closing level of Rs 955 and Refined palmolein climbed by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 498 as against Rs 495 previously.

Castorseeds bold advanced by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,710 from overnight closing level of Rs 3,660 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 772 as compared to Rs 762 yesterday.
Linseed oil closed unaltered at Rs 765 per 10 kg.
