Edible, non-edible oils decline on lower demand

Groundnut oil maintained its downtrend for in an otherwise sluggish oils and oilseeds market amid ample arrivals from producing belts.
Refined palmolein slipped owing to reduced buying from retailers.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial eased further due to lower demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, linseed oil ruled stable in the absence of any largescale buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil declined by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 925 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 930, and refined palmolein softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 525 from Rs 526.
In non-edible section, castorseed bold moved down by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,125 from previous close of Rs 3,150 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 655 as against Rs 660 last weekend.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10 kg.
