Edible, non-edible oils slide on poor demand, good supply

Groundnut oil prices dropped at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers amidst higher arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also moved down in the absence of retail buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial continued to decline on the back of poor offtake from shippers and soap industries.
However, Linseed oil rose due to good demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil dipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 970 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 980 and refined palmolein slipped by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 505 as compared to Rs 511 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold fell by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,975 from Rs 3,990 and castor oil commercial softened by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 825 as against Rs 828 previously.
Linseed oil moved up by Rs 5 per 10 to Rs 775 as compared to Rs 770.
