Edible, non-edible oils weaken on poor demand
Press Trust of India Mumbai Groundnut oil prices fell further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on poor demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample arrivals from producing regions.
Refined palmolein also eased due to absence of retail buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial also dropped on subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil continued to remain steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible section, groundnut oil dipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 820 from Friday's closing level of Rs 830 and refined palmolein edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 498 as compared to Rs 500 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold slid by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 4,100 from Rs 4,150 and castor oil commercial slipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 850 as against Rs 860 previously. Linseed oil ended unaltered at Rs 760 per 10 kg.
