Groundnut oil declined in an otherwise sluggish Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein continued its downtrend owing to poor retail buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseed bold and castoroil commercial also eased due to reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseedoil closed stable in the absence of any worthwhile demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible section, groundnut oil slipped by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 855 from last Saturday's closing of Rs 860 and refined palmolein weakened by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 463 from Rs 465.
Moving to non-edibles segment, Castorseeds bold fell by Rs 15 per 100 kg to RS 4,175 from previous close of Rs 4,190 and castoroil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 865 from Rs 870. Linseedoil closed unaltered at Rs 860 per 10 kg.
