In the non-edible section, castor and linseed oils also moved up on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers and retailers to meet the festive season demand mainly led to the rise in edible oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 7,150 per quintal.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,900 and Rs 6,600, while crude palm oil (ex-kandla) edged up by Rs 50 to Rs 5,250 per quintal, respectively.
