Edible oils decline at 'Muhurat' session

Edible oils declined at a special muhurat session, to mark the beginning of Samvat 2071, while castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial prices were unavailable at the Vashi oils and oilseeds market here today.
Refined palmolein extended its fall due to lack of demand from retailers.
Groundnutoil continued its downtrend to eased further following lower offtake from stockists and retailers on the back of good arrivals from producing regions.
Linseed oil dropped due to reduced demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible section, groundnutoil edged down by 0.75 paise per 10kg to Rs 879.25 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 880 and refined palmolein dipped by Rs 8.49 per 10kg to Rs 487.51 as against Rs 496 yesterday.
Turning to non-edible segment, linseed oil fell by Rs 4.75 per 10kg to Rs 755.25 from 760.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial prices were unavailable.
