Edible oils declines on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices declined further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following reduced demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein eased further owing to subdued offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices recovered modestly owing to fresh demand from soap and shippers industries.
Linseeds oil maintained steady trend in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 940 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 950 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 612 as against Rs 616 yesterday.
Moving to the non-edible section, castorseeds bold rose by Rs 5 per 100kg to Rs 4,545 compared to Rs 4,540 and castoroil commercial edged-up by a Re per kg to Rs 939.
However, Linseeds oil closed unchanged at Rs 770 per 10kg.
