However, non-edible oils moved in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said sluggish demand at prevailing levels and adequate stocks availability in the market mainly kept pressure on edible oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil, shed Rs 50 at Rs 6,500, while sesame mill delivery and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 8,900 and Rs 6,050 per quintal respectively.
Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils too traded in negative zone with a loss of Rs 6,100 and Rs 5,900 per quintal respectively.
