In the edible segment, groundnutoil climbed by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 980 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 980 and refined palmolein added Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 525 from Rs 522 previously.
Moving to futures, castorseeds September contract resumed higher at Rs 3,456 and shot-up further to close at Rs 3,502 from Rs 3,440 yesterday, showing a gain of Rs 62 per tonne.
