Edible oils gains on renewed demand

Refined palmolein also edged up following better retail buying.

In non edible segment, linseedoil prices recovered modestly amidst fresh demand from paint industry.

While, castorseed bold and castoroil commercial eased further owing to lack of demand from shippers and soap industries.

In the futures market, castorseeds maintained its down- trend due to poor export enquiries.

In the edible section, groundnutoil firmed up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,260 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,255 and refined palmolein added by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 662 from 660.

In non-edible section, Linseedoil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 775 from previous close of Rs 770.

Castorseed bold slipped by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,300 from Rs 3,325 and castoroil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 690 from Rs 695 previously.

Moving to futures, castorseed for June contract resumed lower at Rs 3,400, moved in a range of Rs 3,416 and Rs 3,380 before settling at Rs 3,411 from Rs 3,422 on Monday, showing a modest loss Rs 11 per tonne. PTI PAK PAK
