Refined palmolein prices also went down on subdued offtake from retailers on the back of bearish Malayasian cues.

In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold, castor oil commercial and linseed held steady in the absence of any large-scale buying.

In futures, castorseeds dropped encountering heavy speculative selling following subdued export enquiries.

In the edible segment, Groundnut oil dipped by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,030 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,040. Refined palmolein also slipped by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 542 as against Rs 547 yesterday.

Turning to futures, castorseed December contract resumed lower at Rs 3,930 and drifted to end at Rs 3,810 as against Rs 3,947 yesterday, showing a net fall of Rs 137 per tonne.

However, moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 3,575 per 100 kg, Rs 745 per 10 kg and Rs 800 per 10 kg, respectively.
