Edible oils rebound on renewed demand

Groundnut oil prices rebounded smartly at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockists and retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts.
Refined palmolein also recovered due to fresh offtake from retailers.
Elsewhere, linseed oil gained further on sustained demand from shippers and soap industries.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil spurted by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 980 from last weekend's level of Rs 960 and refined palmolein rose by Rs 4 per 10kg to Rs 487 as against Rs 483 previously.
Moving to non-edible segment, linseed oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 800 as compared to Rs 795 previously.
However, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 4,100 per 100 kg and Rs 850 per 10 kg, respectively.
