Edible oils recover on renewed demand; non-edibles surge
Press Trust of India Mumbai Groundnut oil prices recovered at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein recouped on fresh offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial surged owing to sustained offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil gained further following good demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil climbed by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 930 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 925 and refined palmolein moved up by Rs 3 to Rs 494 per 10 kg from Rs 491.
In non-edible section, castorseed bold jumped by Rs 40 per 100 kg to Rs 4,015 from Rs 3,975, castor oil commercial advanced by Rs 8 per 10 kg to Rs 833 as compared to Rs 825 previously and linseed oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 780 as against Rs 775 last weekend.
