However, non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased offtake by vanaspati millers and retailers to meet rising demand amidst restricted arrivals from
producing belts mainly led to the rise in edible oil prices.
In the national capital, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) and cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oils advanced by Rs 100 and Rs 50 each to Rs 7,600 and Rs 6,100 per quintal, respectively.
Mustard expeller (Dadri) and sesame mill delivery oils also moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,300 and Rs 8,400 per quintal, respectively.
