The ninth edition of Sunburn Goa opened here at Vagator
in north Goa, while another electronic dance music festival Vh1 Supersonic opened the floor for some world's best disc jockeys at Candolim, around 12 kms from here.
"Over 120 artists, including world's top DJs will be performing across 7 stages rewriting the history of dance music on the over 200 feet 'main stage', offering the biggest ever stage experience anywhere in world," Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept, said.

This year, Sunburn Goa has joined hands with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
Meanwhile, organiser the Vh1 Supersonic-2015 has said the four-day festival will bring together some of the world's best artists like English electronic music duo Disclosure, Canadian electro music duo Zeds Dead, alongwith greats from Techno such as Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Arjun Vagale and many more at a common platform.
"The biggest name is undoubtedly the king of house music and the former superstar of Swedish House Mafia- Axwell whose work in progressive and electro house. Accompanying this house music virtuoso and coming to India for the first time is Disclosure, a name known to all in English electronic music scene," organisers said in a press release here.
Speaking about 'free hydration drive' at Supersonic, festival curator, Nikhil Chinapa, said, "This year round, we put more emphasis on safety and health of supersonic community members. We shall have designated 'Water Points' at specific locations within the festival arena which would supply drinking water."
The 'Main Stage' is being hosted by noted host MC Stretch
along with Chinapa, Rohit Barker and Sgt Pokes.
"Vh1 Supersonic-2015 is a much grander affair compared to last year. We look forward to a packed house of dance music lovers. Our motto remains to ignite the collective passion for dance music among our fellow music lovers," Senior EVP and Business head- LIVE Viaocm18, Jaideep Singh, said.
