The budget also proposed construction of kiosks at 2100 parks of EDMC, 50 per cent of which would be allotted to women, 10 per cent to differently-abled, and 2 per cent to transgenders.
Gupta said that the civic body was committed to uphold the honour of women and take steps for their empowerment through different measures.
The East Delhi Municipal Corporation has also decided to provide 5 per cent rebate in property tax to parents having girl children and 8 per cent incentive cut if their wards go to municipal-run schools.
She also proposed for letting the EDMC community centres for free, on recommendations of councillors for marriage of orphan girls as well as daughters of poor people and widows.
