Edu institute director booked on molestation charges
Press Trust of India New Delhi An FIR has been registered against the director of an educational institute in outer Delhi's Prashant Vihar on the complaint by a female Assistant Professor alleging that he "touched her inappropriately" and "threatened" her.
As per the complainant, she went to the director's room to give him her wedding card on September 17, when he suddenly tried to hold her hand and touched her inappropriately, Vikramjeet Singh, DCP (Outer) said.
The woman alleged that since there was no one in the college at that time, the 68-year-old director took advantage of the situation and molested her, said the officer, adding that he also threatened her.
The victim filed the complaint against the accused on September 19 and a case under sections 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, has been registered, police added.
