An effigy of Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal was burnt today in Karamadai in the rural limit, even as some 500 Congress workers staged a demonstration in the city, protesting against the release of 'list of corrupt politicians,' which included party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Union minister G K Vasan.
The workers, led by party Tamil Nadu treasurer, Kovai Thangam, raised slogans against Kejriwal and sought immediate withdrawal of their names from the list.
They also sought an apology from Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party, police said.
Meanwhile, some party workers burnt an effigy in Karamadai, about 30 KMs from here in protest against the list naming Congress leaders.
The workers took out a procession holding a photograph of Kejriwal, applying red and black spots on it and raised slogans against him, police said.
