Egypt releases Israeli Arab spy in prisoners' exchange deal

Egypt today released an Israeli Arab, jailed in the country for 15 years over charges of espionage, as part of a prisoners' exchange deal, according to Egyptian state television.
The convicted Israeli spy Ouda Tarabin will be sent back to Tel Aviv in exchange for the release of two Egyptians who were jailed in Israel.
Tarabin, an Arab Bedouin from the Negev Desert in Israel, was arrested in 2000 and convicted of spying after illegally crossing the Egypt-Israel border.
He is being released after he has served his 15-year jail sentence.
At the same time, Israel released two Egyptian prisoners as part of the exchange.

Other reports say that an unspecified number of other prisoners may also be freed.
