The accused was intercepted after his arrival from Dubai late last night.
"A detailed personal and baggage search of the passenger resulted in the recovery of 13 gold bars total weighing 10.25 kgs," the customs department said in a release today.
The market value of the seized gold bars is Rs 3.03 crore, it said.
The 39-year-old accused, who is an Egypt national, had concealed the gold in specially designed pockets of his trouser, a senior customs official said.
