Employees in Egypt's state-owned Nile News today said they will go on strike, objecting to alleged interference by the ruling party in the telecast of the ongoing protests against President Mohammed Mursi.
The employees said in a statement that the "management was impeding them from performing professionally", alleging that the Muslim Brotherhood sent its men to the TV station to control studio guests being interviewed and influence coverage of the anti-Mursi protests.
They said, they were instructed to shoot the protests from narrow angles and to try and belittle the size of the protesters.
