Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated in MP

Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with traditional fervour and zeal today across Madhya Pradesh with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan taking part in the festivity at an Idgah here.
Besides Chouhan, Lok Sabha MP Alok Sanjar, former Union Minister Suresh Pachouri and senior Congress leader P C Sharma among others were also present on the occasion.
Thousands of Muslims offered prayers at various Idgahs and mosques in the city and elsewhere in the state as celebrations began to mark the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan.
Attired in new clothes, men and children visited Idgahs and mosques for prayers and greeted each other, including people from other communities.

An elaborate security arrangement has been made by the police across the state.
MP Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and state Public Relations minister, Narottam Mishra also wished people on the occasion of Eid.
Congress General Secretary, Digvijay Singh and the State Congress President Arun Yadav among others also extended greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr.
