Over 25,000 Muslims assembled at the biggest congregation on Red Road (Indira Gandhi Sarani) here to offer special prayers on the occasion, which marks the end of month-long Ramzan, city police officials said.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended the special prayer on Red Road and wished everybody in the community.

The festival was observed in a big way at Nakhoda mosque and Tipu Sultan mosque in the city, while the celebration was also there in different mosques and eidghas in the districts.
Markets in various Muslim-dominated areas in the city were decorated on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Imams of different mosques called for peace, harmony and brotherhood while extending wishes and greetings to all.
