A trial court here has acquitted eight persons, who were accused of the murder of a bus owner at Badambadi bus terminus here in January 2012.
Additional district judge (ADJ) court of Chittaranjan Das yesterday absolved all the eight, including the key accused Kalia Sethy, of the murder charges framed against them by the city police for the killing of bus owner Jaina Rout.
The acquittal order came after the Court observed that the statements of prosecution witnesses are prevaricated and the circumstantial evidences were not admissible as they do not connect the facts with the inference.
