Eight criminals arrested in Gurgaon

Eight criminals involved in various crimes such as murder, kidnapping, extortion were today arrested and a cache of arms and ammunitions were recovered from them, police said.
The six accused, identified as Amardeal, Gaurav, Lokesh, Virender, Ombir and Neeraj, were planning to loot a target at Sector 33 here, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Duggal said.
10 pistols and 101 live bullets were recovered from their possession, police said, adding that all the six accused belonged to Sandeep Gaudauli gang and had committed several crimes in Gurgaon and surrounding areas.
On a tip off, the police team laid a trap and intercepted the criminals' vehicle, leading to exchange of fire between the two parties.

In two separate arrests, two criminals were nabbed by the police and recovered three pistols and three bullets from them.
